SMART 1.0 — Administration
What you do here
Section titled “What you do here”Administration is for setup and security: org structure (company, division, area), communities and projects, users, roles, and permissions. Most field staff rarely open this module; division admins and IT use it daily.
Current Release2022 builds do not ship a standalone desktop Administration app. Treat SMART 2.0 Administration as the primary path; desktop shortcuts may be legacy.
Typical tasks (admins)

Self-service for most users
Section titled “Self-service for most users”- Password reset — often via SMART 2.0 Sign in & navigation instead of SMART 1.0.
- Wrong community on login — ask an admin to fix division assignment; do not share accounts.
SMART 2.0 overlap
Section titled “SMART 2.0 overlap”User, role, web application, and report permissions are managed under SMART 2.0 administration/ — required for many divisions; desktop admin may be IT-only or unavailable on ClickOnce installs.
