SMART 2.0 — Service & warranty

Warranty and CSR work spans several apps: SMART 2.0 service/ (hub), Home Owner Portal (homeowner intake), Trade Portal (trade completion), and Blazor Warranty (CSR workspace in many divisions). The database objects are the same — Service requests and Service orders.

Service hub (service/default.aspx) is currently a module hub that may direct you to desktop SMART Service or your division’s CSR tool while additional web screens roll out. If you see “under construction,” use the link on that page or your division standard below.

See Warranty workflow for the full diagram. Summary:

  1. Homeowner submits request (portal).
  2. CSR triages — create lines, set status (o, q, d, r, c).
  3. Service order to trade with amount and schedule.
  4. Trade completes work; lien waiver / payment flows like construction POs.
  5. BC payment via transmission queues.
  • Find lot / homeowner history.
  • Classify line: warranty vs homeowner vs trade responsibility.
  • Dispatch vendor; track aging (LateAfter thresholds).
  • Communicate status to homeowner (portal updates).

The WinForms Service module is retired for most divisions — do not train new users on desktop-only flows unless your division explicitly requires it.
