SMART 2.0 — Administration

administration/ is for admins and IT only — not everyday builders or sales. Here you manage users, roles, web application access (what appears in WEB_APPS_MENU), menus, reports, and platform alerts.

Division administrators, IT support, BPM admins (limited), and security/compliance roles.

  1. Create user (or enable existing AD user).
  2. Assign roles for desktop SMART modules.
  3. Assign web applications so privs.aspx does not block module hubs.
  4. Assign reports if they run web reports.
  5. Verify login on test URL if available.
  1. Disable user same day as HR ticket.
  2. Run termination review page if your process requires it.
  3. Audit shared mailboxes / delegated access outside SMART.
  1. Confirm they reach login.aspx successfully.
  2. Check web-applications — Sales must be in WEB_APPS_MENU.
  3. Compare with user who works — role diff.
  4. Rare: wrong database / company context at login.
  • Individual accounts only — no shared passwords.
  • Least privilege — web app per job function.
  • Test in non-production when IT provides it.
  • Do not screenshot display-session-vars with PII.
